On the road again…
It feels like ages, my “detour” into ”civilization”.
But tonight I took the night-train to Östersund and now I will look up the tuft of grass
5,8 km south of Tännäs where I left off the path before my little interlude into civilization.
I was happy with the train delay this time for a change. When I realized that it would be very tight for me to pack I had a tinkle in my pocket and the Swedish Train Services messaged that the train would be ready to leave two hours after timetable. Good with a service that is tuned in to the needs of their
customers I thought…
Now it is up to the feet again. This time on the most “uncivilized” part of the journey. Between Funäsdalen and Särna it is 120 km without any convenience that a civilized life demands.
Although the small talks with the company on the road has been something of the most rewarding so far on the journey, I still look forward to this part, maybe just because it is so far between the houses.
But if I wanted to see a wolf I should have stayed at home in Floda. Yesterday Jennifer excitedly told me that she had seen a wolf run across the road by the Mosselfields in Floda. The chance/risk (depending on what side of the wolfdebate you are) to meet old greyleg in the mountains of Härjedalen where I am going is probably a lot slimmer than at home in Floda.
Well, I cannot say I am alone. You are reading this and a few others as well. That’s what’s so fascinating about these times. Our old concepts of time and space get their well-deserved knocks. Now I can sit out in the wilderness and with the help of solar-cells and satellites I communicate with words, music and pictures with you and anyone else who wants to listen and see around the whole planet. That is no bad company; alone in the silence in undisturbed nature with the whole blogospere as your potential listener.
